Journeyman Pipefitter & Pipe Welder

K-PEL Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter & Pipe Welder, to be based in Fort Fairfield, ME and working at client sites throughout Aroostook County.
Requirements of the Journeyman Pipefitter & Pipe Welder:
Experience with high pressure steam and condensate along with process piping.
Knowledge with Sanitary piping is a plus.
Basic rigging skills: identify and utilize straps, shackles, rigging points, etc.
Experience with basic hand tools and reference books.
Pipefitters will be required to pass a handwritten test on basic pipefitter skills.
Welders must pass an open root 6G pipe test in Carbon and Stainless steel.
Valid driver’s license and transportation.
Must pass a pre-employment physical.
Ability to work at client sites throughout Aroostook County.
4/10-hour days when possible. You may be required to work 12-hour days, overtime, weekends or holidays.
Benefits of the Job:
Hourly pay in the range of: $25.00 - $35.00
Paid Per Diem based on distance from home to the work site one way. All work is in Aroostook County.
Paid OT on any time that is worked in excess of 10 hours per day
Work performed on Sunday will be compensated at the rate of double time regardless of hours previously worked in that week or day

Responsibilities of the Journeyman Pipefitter & Pipe Welder:
Read and follow blueprints and hand sketches.
Follow Instructions from Supervisor/Management.
Install piping within plumb, level and square requirements.
Able to figure pipe runs including rolling offsets.
Working safely is a must.
