We currently have a 3 man crew building houses for us to sell. Our on-site manager is an electrician, so carpentry is not his strong suit. We have a carpenter who does well, but gets slow when he is not comfortable about what needs to be done. The 3rd is a popular helper but only has 3 months of carpentry experience. We need a lead carpenter who can take these 2 young guys and get some houses built, faster than we are now. We have 11 more lots in Buckfield and will soon have many times that to build closer to the cities. We expect to be building for a long time into the future, but we can't do it slowly, or it won't be affordable.
We have full time work, benefits including retirement, and a co-op health program. If you have 10 years experience, and self confidence to lead a small crew, this could be a long time good job for you to settle into.
