Northeast Technologies has (2) immediate openings for a Lead Tech Level 3 Network Cable Tech installing low voltage cabling for computer networks, video surveillance systems and fiber optic systems. A State of Maine Low Voltage License is NOT required for the wiring we install.

What We Are Looking For:
Cable Technician Responsibilities:
. Have a minimum of 3 years installing low voltage cabling as described above.
· Pull, test, and terminate CAT 6, and fiber optic cable in a new construction commercial environment.
· Terminate patch panels and jacks.
· Dress in cable and Installation of support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
· Rack and stack server equipment, closet work.
· Install and bend conduit. (not required but a plus)
· Run and test fiber optic cable.
· Can read and understand blueprints and schematics.
. Train and mentor apprentice technicians if assigned to your projects.
What You'll Need:
Valid driver's license, good driving record and clean background check.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
At times, this job can be physically demanding and might require working in somewhat confined places. Climbing ladders, pulling, lifting, bending are all in a day's work.
Work Hours and Travel:
Full time - we operate during standard business hours of 7am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday for many projects, however we occasionally adjust the workdays to work after-hours and weekends if our customers require it.
Level 3 Pay: $24 to $28 per Hour
