Affordable Office Solutions is seeking a full time office furniture installer to join our team! The installer performs various duties including, but not limited to: delivery, assembly and installation, relocation, and repair work on office furniture and other related products according to furniture plans and blueprints using small hand-held power tools.
Job Functions:
- Assembling and Installing office furniture on and off-site
- Packing, loading and unloading furniture in the warehouse and at other locations
- Inspect loads for potential problems/discrepancies and ensures that all necessary tools, parts and equipment are available and loaded.
- Cleaning, organizing and maintaining warehouse and showroom floors
Physical Demands:
- This job will require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time.
- The installer must frequently lift, push or pull merchandise weighing between 70-100lbs.
- The installer will regularly drive a delivery truck and must be able to enter, exit and drive the truck safely.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid license and clean driving record!
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy/bulky furniture
- Must have your own set of tools, or be willing to buy them upon hire
- Must have the ability to communicate professionally with customers
- Must work well both independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable driving a box-truck
