Job Description:
The Pineland Produce Farm in New Gloucester is looking for seasonal delivery drivers to join our team. The delivery season will be in full swing from mid-June to Late October. We have full-time and part-time positions available. Full Time is 40+ hours/week, 5-7 days per week. Part-time is as little as 1 day per week if it is a weekend day, and for the duration of the season. No delivery experience is required, and all drivers start with a 2-day window of training and shadowing with an experienced delivery driver. We all work as a team to ensure everyone is loaded efficiently in the mornings (or afternoons as the season shifts) and trucks return to the farm promptly. Deliveries are performed in the greater Portland area and generally on a box truck, but this position does not require a CDL license. We deliver to all customers 7 days/week from June to then we stop delivering on Sundays after Labor Day. Our trucks hit the road with fresh produce by 7 am daily. Shifts are 5:50 am- 4 pm (rough end time depending on how the day plays out, with the majority of days wrapping up before 4 pm).
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Assemble pallets of product using pack sheets.
Load and unload produce for deliveries.
Operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
The position does not require forklift operation, but we can teach you on the job, if you're interested in learning.
Deliver produce to our retail partners in the greater Portland area.
Weekend availability is best as we do deliver 7 days/week.
Requirements:
Over 18 years old.
Safe driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Comfortable loading and unloading produce as listed on a pack sheet.
Strong communication skills
Good customer service skills.
Salary & Benefits:
