The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the campus and performs maintenance and repairs as directed by the Facilities Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning duties including cleaning restrooms, carpets, floors, and baling cardboard. Monitor Trash Receptacles- dispose of trash and maintain trash receptacles.
2. Provide excellent guest service to the public.
3. Utilizing cleaning equipment including walk-behind sweepers, scrubbers and burnishers.
4. Providing facilities related assistance to Cooking School, Café and Store.
5. Track and request reorder supplies of cleaning and facilities items (e.g., light bulbs)
6. Refill and restock paper goods and other items.
7. Perform outdoor maintenance duties as needed (e.g., snow removal, cleaning windows)
8. Assist with additional facilities-related tasks as needed (e.g., painting, changing light bulbs)
Education, Experience, and Skills
1. High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
2. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time.
3. Experience working with the public in a busy but casual customer setting.
4. Must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions.
5. Must be able to climb ladders, bend, twist, reach, push and pull and perform repetitive motions.
6. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
4 Weekdays and Sunday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
