We are looking for Entry Level candidates to become Cell Tower Technicians. We have a class for new hires that includes classroom training, climbing training and two months of on the job training. All training is paid.

Relocation program and assistance is available for qualified applicants.

OVERVIEW:

Cell Tower Techs must be able to follow to strict risk management guidelines while ensuring quality work in a fast-paced environment. Jobs will include turn-key tower sites, modifications, and field troubleshooting. Also, you may be climbing 200 + ft. in all-weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Properly follows all safety procedures and policies.

Frequently climb ladders and towers safely and efficiently to complete various job duties at elevated heights (200ft+) with confidence and little to no supervision.

Safely and properly use hand tools and mechanical equipment. Report any hazards or deficiencies to Foreman or Lead.

Rig towers, monopoles, and rooftops for to safely move materials.

Identify and report any safety hazards to the foreman or lead technician.

Perform general construction of tower sites to include, but not limited to Site layout, erection, installation and maintenance and repair in accordance with specific job orders.

Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment.

Pick up and deliver supplies, tools, equipment components, etc. To job sites and service center warehouses.

Follow directions given either by the foreman, lead or management.

Obtain tools within 90 days of employment

Communicate and represent East Coast Communications in a respectable manner, whether with the public, with co-workers, vendors, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic knowledge and use of hand tools and mechanical equipment.

General construction and safety knowledge.

Experience in the tower industry is preferred, other experience related working at heights is acceptable.

Ability to recognize safety Hazards.

Basic knot tying and rigging skills preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Able to travel out of town on a limited basis as needed.

Able to meet physical requirements such as standing bending, lifting, and climbing for the duration of shift.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Physical.

Must be able to pass a background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

Frequently climb tall structures (300 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.

90% of work is outdoors and year-round and occasionally in extreme weather conditions

Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests.

Clear visual ability, with or without correction

Ability to reach and stretch repetitively

Ability to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time
