CNC Machine Operator/Machinists

Using modern state of the art CNC machine tools, we serve diverse industries including Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, and Medical. We are seeking experienced, full-time CNC Machine Operators and Machinists for our 1st shift operations with prior work experience/and or formal training on multi-axis machines.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

Operates CNC vertical or horizontal mills, lathes and/or drills.

Verifies and visually inspects small tools and tooling kit to ensure correct tooling, sequence of tool use and tool

offsets.

Monitors and adjusts machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.

Monitors and observes machining operation to detect malfunctions or out-of tolerance machining and adjusts

machine controls or control media as required.

Inspects finished work piece to verify conformance to specifications with visual checks and the use of mechanical

measuring equipment, tools or gages.

Fits and assembles parts into completed assembly. Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.

Confers with Supervisor, Lead Machinist and/or Process Technicians to resolve machining problems.

Identifies, segregates, tags and notifies supervisory personnel of defective material or non-conforming part.

Performs preventive maintenance (PM) checks before, during and after operations on machine centers.

Deburrs and polishes machined parts to specifications using rotary and vibrating hand tools.

Conforms to and operates within the framework of all applicable SOPs, quality, safety and ISO procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience in a machine shop, or related vocational education.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance, process instructions, blueprints

and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and

decimals.
