Headquartered in California's fertile Salinas Valley, we have expanded our operations and launched our production and distribution center in Biddeford, Maine, which is currently growing and is looking for Sanitation Specialists to join our team.
Overview:
The sanitation specialist is responsible for sanitizing food processing equipment, manufacturing work areas and other areas as necessary, disassembling and reassembling mechanical equipment, operating a pallet jack, complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation procedures as it relates to Food Safety (HACCP).
Key responsibilities:
Operate by all outlined safety and food safety expectations trained on by Growers Express and report all outages to the Shift Manager or QA Manager.
Administers all assigned food safety related topics and programs to new employees or annual refresher training.
Check cycle times and CCP's. Communicates to the Shift Manager any outages and creates robust action plans to address.
Performs routine monitoring of CCP's - as needed.
Completes all master sanitation documentation and ensures compliance with all monthly tasks for all areas.
Critically analyses all tasks on the master sanitation schedule and works with the Quality Manager and Operations Manager to determine changes in tasks.
Completes all ATP swabbing to verify sanitation effectiveness and works with employees to combat trouble areas.
Completes all required personnel training and works to continually improvement sanitation SOP's.
Performs calibrations and calibration checks on process measuring equipment.
