Great opportunity to become a member of the team at Tootie’s Tempeh, a Biddeford, Maine-based worker-owned cooperative and sustainable producer of tempeh, a fermented, organic, and locally sourced plant protein. This production position supports the Production Supervisors and other Production Assistants in the tempeh-making and packaging processes. Duties include, but are not limited to, running equipment for cooking, drying, mixing, vacuum-sealing, heat/cool treatment, drying, packaging and labeling as well as clean-up/washing/sanitizing. Prior food production experience and knowledge of food safety very helpful. A passion for healthy & sustainable food and fermentation and an interest in coops a plus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
