General Description: Key position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
Act as first contact for service customers via telephone and in person in a manner that creates a trusting relationship thereby promoting customer retention and loyalty.
Proactively explain to customers the service needs necessary for their boat with emphasis on preventative maintenance.
Prepare accurate written estimates for service work and parts.
Act as liaison between customer, manufacturer reps and technicians.
Supervise Technicians and Yard crew to meet company and customer expectations.
Maintain digital job schedule
Work with Parts Manager to order required parts for repairs.
Input and track work orders via Dockmaster Software. Enter technicians’ and yard team’s labor times in work orders. Ensure accuracy and correctness of all data entry on work orders.
Ensure timely completion of work order and invoice submission.
Perform timely follow-up with customer.
Assist with warranty administration.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Work Experience Required:
Excellent customer service skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to multi-task
Computer proficiency to include Internet, MSOffice products, especially Excel and Word.
Knowledge of Dockmaster Software or other marine services software is a plus.
Retail sales experience in the marine services industry is a plus.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
