This position is designed for both seasoned professionals and those with little or no sales experience. Your official title is "Solar Promoter." All you are doing is educating people on solar power. However, you don't have to be an expert! We provide an informational packet and all you have to do is pass it along to the customer. And make sure they read it! This will answer all their questions and motivate them to sign up for solar panels ASAP.
People with No Sales Experience:
Those with no sales experience can simply start with friends and family. Make some phone calls to people in your circle, letting them know that you are now a solar promoter and ask them if they would like some information. Talk to people in person. Make some phone calls to people you know. Send some text messages. Post on your social media. People are very curious about solar power. Once they know you are working in solar, they will likely ask you about it. You don't need to be "salesy." Just get people the info. Most people can easily get a few sign ups just from doing the basics.
Seasoned Professionals
If you are a seasoned sales professional with sales or lead generation experience, then you can make a great living this way. You might have experience as a telemarketer, a professional canvasser, or maybe you are an experienced online marketer. More power to you! Work the numbers! Do what you are best at!

There is no wrong way to get the word out! We've had people get new customers while shopping at the grocery store! Just talk as many people as possible. And follow up, or be there with them when they go through the informational packet. That's really it!
How You Get Paid:
You are paid as a 1099 Independent Contractor and are paid within 2 weeks of the company receiving payment.
In more detail, customers are able to choose whether they pay 50% up front and 50% at install or they can pay in full when they sign up nad receive a hefty discount. If the customer does 50/50 then you receive $500 within 2 weeks of the first payment and $500 within 2 weeks of final payment. If a customer is comfortable doing a paid in full, we fast track their installation, give them a discount ($1,000 cash back), and you get 100% of your $1,000 for getting them to sign up within 2 weeks of the company receiving payment.
