GWI is hiring for an IT Support Technician Level I to join their growing team in Biddeford, ME (but currently working remotely). As the IT Support Technician Level I you will maintain existing systems, perform tasks in projects, and daily requests. You will play a critical role in the local and remote support of our staff and clients.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining team service ticket tracking and project deliveries using internal systems as well as participating in resolution and deliveries.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installing desktop Operating Systems and software applications
Support end-user workstation hardware and software
Support end user how-to questions
Support end-user mobile devices and tablets
Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades on hardware and software
Manage and support Windows Active Directory, Profiles, and Group Policy
Support corporate anti-virus
Support remote access configurations
Participate in an on-call rotation for server and workstation technical support
Perform tasks in IT projects
Data Center support
Documentation of all IT related activities
Design, test, reproduce, and document IT scenarios in a lab environment
Perform maintenance on networking devices
Installation and repair of office data cabling
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary degree in a related field with at least one-year experience working in a technical support environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Microsoft Certifications are helpful but not required
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
Understanding of basic network security, recognition of threats, and vulnerabilities to networks
Understanding of wireless networking concepts
Hardware experience in some of the following: Desktops, Laptops, Mobile Phones, Tablets and Printers
Ability to write reports and correspondence to customers, vendors, and peers in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Requires the ability to prioritize tasks
Uses resources effectively and when appropriate, works independently
Include appropriate people in the decision-making process
