Summary

The Carpenter II handles intermediate carpentry tasks, such as cabinetry installation, trim work, and flooring installation, while assisting senior carpenters. This position requires a solid foundation in carpentry, the ability to follow design documents, and a commitment to craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Perform intermediate-level carpentry tasks, including framing, cabinetry installation, trim work, and flooring.

Assist with tile work and other finishing details for kitchen and bathroom remodels.

Read and interpret design documents and technical drawings to execute project specifications.

Work collaboratively with lead carpenters and project managers to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Ensure a clean and organized job site, adhering to company safety standards.

Communicate with team members and clients to ensure expectations are met.

Troubleshoot and solve minor on-site challenges independently or with guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

2–4 years of professional carpentry experience, preferably in kitchen and bath remodeling.

Proficiency in using carpentry tools and performing tasks such as framing, cabinetry installation, and finish work.

Ability to read and follow design documents and technical plans.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.

Familiarity with tile work and advanced finishing techniques.

Proficiency in using project management software (BuilderTrend) and mobile apps.

Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes.
