Cinder Wood Products, a producer of shou sugi ban, (Japanese-style charred finish siding), is undergoing a rapid expansion and is hiring immediately for someone to help grow the business as we begin our scaling-up process. The production work includes applying a charred finish to siding using custom equipment followed by various types of finish application in our busy shop in Hancock. Management work to include creation of samples, inventory work, and general shop upkeep and maintenance. Familiarity with working in a shop and forklift experience is a huge plus, as is any kind of experience with applying finishes by brush, roller, sprayer and roll coating systems.

In light of that, here are some important details regarding what it will take to thrive here:
1. No hard drugs or huge unmanaged issues with alcohol

3. If you smoke, understand that most of us don't and smoke breaks need to be kept reasonable so we don't have to put in place all kinds of rules

We are hiring for a number of different positions, but all of them will require doing hands on production work right alongside the company's owner. Depending on your experience and skillset a role will most certainly be tailored for you. We will do whatever is necessary to help our employees thrive, grow professionally and enjoy their work. The key is understanding that these things are earned and not given without putting in the necessary effort.
Now, on to brass tacks:
Hourly pay starts at $23.50 and goes up to $35.00 per hour to start. We will do a 90-day review at which point you will be eligible for a raise. We anticipate the type of growth which will sustain very good income for people, and that is a core principal of ours. We want people to have financial freedom who work here and your efforts will not go unrewarded.

3. Vacation hours accumulate from your first day. Those who make greater contributions to the company's success will have their waiting period for vacation waived and vacation time will be available right away. Vacation time varies from 1-2 weeks depending on your contributions.

5. Boot allowance after 30 days
