New County Contracting is seeking general laborers and experienced masons/tuckpointers. We are a small outfit based out of Saco ME that works on masonry and concrete restoration projects as well as other general construction projects including selective demolition and light carpentry.
An ideal candidate would have some experience in construction, familiarity with hand tools and power tools but these skills are not required.
Daily tasks could include:
Operation of hand tools and power tools; Hammers/chisels, angle grinders, mortar mixing paddles, chipping guns/hammer drills, impact drives, vibratory compactors.
Cleaning of jobsites and work areas.
Mixing of mortar/concrete.
Chipping/cutting of concrete/mortar.
Working at heights (safety equipment provided).
Repointing brickwork.
Laying masonry units.
Finishing concrete.
Working in noisy and dusty environments.
Shoveling/wheelbarrowing.
Pay scale is dependent upon experience and driver license status. Pay can range from $20/hr for less skilled candidates to $30/hr for skilled candidates.
