POSITION SUMMARY

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, overseeing the receiving, storing, and sorting of all inventories, and ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for securing the warehouse, supervising staff, and maintaining employee documentation. In addition, you will also be responsible for running delivery routes, as needed, hiring and partnering with independent contractors, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary Functions

Create a safe working environment.

Communicate effectively with all members of the organization including clients and contractors.

Lead by example, performing daily tasks alongside warehouse staff to meet goals and key performance measures (KPIs). Daily tasks include but not limited to: material handling, loading/unloading vehicles, cleaning and organizing the warehouse.

Supervise and manage warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and compliance with company policies.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and the training of new warehouse employees along with providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.

Complete all employee documentation including time sheets, required human resource documents, and training certifications

Manage all daily warehouse and delivery operations with a strong focus on accuracy, process flow, and on time performance.

Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Meet customer defined timelines for inventory receipt, sort, and delivery.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse and during deliveries; document warehouse equipment is properly maintained.

Plan, execute, and monitor delivery routes to ensure drivers start and complete daily routes on time.

Oversee courier operations to meet company standards and customer expectations through effective hiring, educating and partnering with all independent contractors.

Manage costs including employee/staffing costs and driver pay, adhere to an established budget, and provide quarterly cost savings/reduction plan.

Acknowledge all complaints (customer, driver, management, etc.) immediately, investigating and responding to all complaints within 48 hours with findings and actions to remedy the situation.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Monitor and report on KPIs related to warehouse operations and deliveries.

Assist delivery personnel in locating their designated materials (if necessary)

Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations

Proficiency in using warehouse or transportation management systems

Ability to work in Excel and Word

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED

Associates degree preferred

Warehouse experience required

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.

Experience in hiring and training warehouse staff

Experience working with independent contractors

Valid driver's license

WORKING CONDITIONS

Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization

Ensure the safety of all warehouse associates

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Will require heavy lifting or carrying

Must be able to move around a warehouse environment

Must be able to think outside of the box and perform every task in the warehouse if needed

TRAVEL

This job does require travel within the state

Required to complete deliveries as needed to prevent service failures

SUPERVISION

This role does supervise warehouse staff

This role advises and negotiates with independent contractors on a daily basis.
