Job Details
Job responsibilities:
Documenting and analyzing firewall configurations and rulesets.
Engaging in security research to remain current on vulnerabilities and testing tools.
Creating detailed, professional documentation / reports that clearly communicate vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, and remediation steps.
Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Exercises independent judgment within scope of authority. When necessary, escalates issues to supervisor to determine appropriate authority level to ensure prompt and appropriate resolution within the context of organizational priorities.
Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes customer problems and complaints to ensure that inquiries are resolved appropriately.
Support, configure, install & maintain customer Security infrastructures consisting of but not limited to; MFA - RSA/Duo, Firewalls - Check Point, Fortinet, SonicWalls, Palo Alto. Cloud security in AWS/Azure
Answers helpdesk telephones for assigned account(s) and responds to customer inquiries to ensure customer needs are met.
Follows up with customers to ensure that their inquiries are resolved within the contracted or agreed upon time frame.
Assists end users in resolving technical problems on assigned by providing guidance regarding software and hardware problems. Resolves and/or refers more complex technical problems through a defined escalation process.
The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and be committed to providing exemplary customer service.
Experience architecting and managing solutions in various environments such as end-user, server/network, DMZ, and public cloud
Stay up to date in current tools, techniques, and vulnerabilities to incorporate into security testing practices
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in Cybersecurity
Fundamental working knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP Networking
Maintains detailed documentation of system change controls
Create How-To and other forms of end-user documentation
Working knowledge of protecting operating systems and networks using malware protection, firewalls, and other security tools
This individual should have a solid understanding of network infrastructure and fundamentals as well as a basic knowledge of security best practices.
Candidates should have the ability to articulate technical details and assumptions in both written and verbal form, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
Having the ability to work individually or within a team is must
Must possess a high degree of integrity and be trustworthy
Hands-on experience with Cloud Computing Environments, Security Tools and Equipment, Data Center Equipment, Networking and related Protocols, Databases, Servers, Workstations, Peripherals, and Software solutions
Ability to go on customer location after hours for Installations and Upgrades
Preferred Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate level knowledge
Security / Network +
Vendor Certifications i.e Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto
