In the Winter and Spring months, the position will be responsible for estimating and design duties including:
Acting as a resource for the Region’s LiDAR efforts and assist with cross slope analysis,
Developing roadway alignments with processed LiDAR files, and,
Completing quantity and cost estimating for highway pavement preservation projects.
In the Summer and Fall months, the position may act as a construction inspector on active construction projects. Duties may include:
Construction inspection and documentation,
Measuring and quantifying construction materials for contractor payment,
Construction material sampling and testing, and,
Ensuring contractor’s work conforms to the contract specifications.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
