The position is with a small (10-20 employee) 40 year old company located in Glen Burnie, MD. The individual in this position is essentially the accounting department, and is in the middle of a lot of office activities such as freight & shipping, sales support, payroll, and other daily office issues. Therefore, good communication and interpersonal skills are required in addition to having a sound understanding of accounting and a knowledge of accounting software. Experience with Sage (formerly called Peachtree) would be a plus. The individual in this position will also provide some administrative support to the executive team.
The person in this position must possess the knowledge, skills and/or ability required to perform the essential duties of the accounting function and other office support activities. The position is structured as a FT position. Compensation will depend on experience level, and will be discussed in interview.
