Oracle's progressive transformation strategy for financial services industry is executed through the Oracle Financial Services Global Industries Unit (FSGIU).Oracle FSGIU has created the position for a Director of Cash Management to further support progressive transformation of Banks and Credit Unions in their cash and liquidity management line of business in the United States.Job Description:In this role you will work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for US banking. As a member of the product strategy team for Oracle Banking solutions, you will contribute to the definition of product specifications and strategy to enable complete cash and liquidity management capabilities for our solution especially around sweeping, pooling, and virtual account management. Knowledge of US regulations and compliance, and market practices around these products are required as you will need to define product specifications around functionality and compliance.You will also be required to support sales and pre-sales teams in business development opportunities. You will need to initiate and foster relationships with other groups to ensure a holistic development of our cash and liquidity management line. You will also review product documentation and collateral to ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.Responsibilities:
Provide consistent high quality and innovative leadership on cash and liquidity management by interacting with various stakeholders within Oracle and partners / clients when necessary
Be a banking expert on cash and liquidity management and trusted advisor to the product organization by effectively influencing decisions across all software development life cycle stages.
Analyze and understand the various flavors of liquidity management including zero balance accounts, sweeps, pools, target balancing, virtual accounts, account consolidations, lockbox services, and cash flow forecasting and reporting in the North American market including regulatory practices. Have in depth knowledge of US Regulations around these products. Knowledge of functions adjacent to cash management such as lockbox services, positive pay, corporate treasury operations etc. would be an added advantage
Translate the above banking areas into business requirement documents for development.
Knowledge of corporate banking activities such as corporate deposits and corporate loans would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of underlying accounting implications around liquidity management is required.
Effectively apply Oracle’s methodologies, policies, and procedures.
Develop and deliver high quality presentations and demonstrations, present and articulate product features, and benefits, and configure and test the overall solution that delight prospects and clients
Demonstrate strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, partners, customers, and senior management.
Require business, product, technology, or industry expertise relevant to cash and liquidity management.
Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources, and quality throughout development by analyzing factors that influence outcomes such as risk, issues, and dependencies.
Plan, manage and communicate the progress of projects, project achievements and maintain project status.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with internal processes and procedures.
Support the business development effort for new & expansion opportunities through scoping, solutioning & presentations.
Promote knowledge by sharing lessons learned, innovations or new skills with team members
ResponsibilitiesIdeal Candidate should have the following qualifications/skills:
Experience in the areas of banking operations for cash and liquidity management with financial institutions in senior roles (10+ years)
Detailed knowledge of banking regulations for cash and liquidity management (both federal and state) applicable to Banks and Credit Unions as well as current trends and market practices.
Strong presentation and communication skills are essential for this role, which involves interacting with external stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for presenting, articulating, and demonstrating our value proposition to analysts, partners, and prospective clients. This may include writing white papers, participating in speaker engagements at conferences, and other related activities
Experience working with banking software development teams in different stages of software development
Proficient in writing and updating documents that translate functional and regulatory requirements into business requirement documents that can be readily understood by developers and software product managers.
Skilled in delivering clear outcome-based targets and measures by working with a strong sense of urgency in getting the job done
