Avar Consulting, Inc., a social science research organization located in Rockville, MD, is currently seeking a full-time Research Assistant (RA) to join our team. The RA will produce and review data files; identify data-quality measures in statistical reports; produce meeting minutes and reports; and perform other duties as assigned. The RA will manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.
The RA will possess the following qualifications: a minimum of a high school diploma; proficiency and experience in Microsoft applications including Excel; strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a part of a team; interest in social science and survey research; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possession of an Associate's degree and/or B.A./B.S. in a related area such as Gerontology, Public Health, Psychology, Statistics, or Survey/Research Methods is a plus.
