Historic London Town & Gardens is a historic museum and public garden in Edgewater, MD. This position will work with the Sales and Private Rentals Department and be onsite for every wedding during our season (April-November)
Role Description
The hours are generally Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 3p-11pm. The Event Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the event manager during the events; ie cleabing up spills, reapiaring leaks, replacing light bulbs.
Responsible for the overall presentation and proper function of the venue at Historic London Town & Gardens.
Expected to know and understand the entire facility and all mechanisms associated with the function of this venue.
Responsible for keeping all facilities' furniture, fixtures, equipment, and buildings in great shape and functioning very well. Must have some general mechanical skills. Responsible for repairing and maintaining physical structures, grounds, and equipment.
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift heavy items up to 50lbs.
General mechanic skills are preferred.
