Job Summary
The Funbox Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facility. This role involves performing various cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are well-maintained, hygienic, and presentable. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or industrial cleaning, with a focus on floor care and facilities maintenance. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces
Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as needed
Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
Ensure all areas are safe, organized, and free of hazards for staff and visitors
Requirements
Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Reliable transportation is preferred but not required; punctuality is essential for scheduled shifts
