PQ BRANDS is a home furniture and lighting manufacturer located in Stevensville, Maryland (on Kent Island) 10 minutes outside of Annapolis.
We’re hiring Junior-Level and Experienced-Level Furniture Maker / Cabinet Maker / Wood Worker / Woodworker positions.
Our Furniture Makers / Cabinet Makers start new projects from raw materials, and completely fabricate and prepare each piece for our Finishing Department. Makers are not responsible for finishing.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS HAVE THESE ABILITIES:
- Experience building and fabricating custom furniture from start to finish in a professional wood shop.
- Ability to fabricate to very high standards with a mixture of hardwoods, veneers, and sheet goods using resources such as cut lists, shop drawings, models, or photographs.
- Understanding of typical high-end cabinet and furniture construction, joinery, and fabrication methods.
- Always exhibits safe working practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a good attitude and the ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. without assistance on a regular basis, and heavier items with the help of others.
- Available to work FULL-TIME onsite in our Wood Shop.
- Hours are 7am to 3:45pm Monday through Friday.
- We don’t offer remote positions or gig work.
- Our Makers enjoy going home at 3:45!
