Job Description : The System Administrator provides support for end users and infrastructure components within multiple client environments onsite and/or remotely. This position requires interaction with clients. Candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Candidate must have a strong technical working knowledge of business networking environments with the ability to troubleshoot client/server operating systems and applications.
Duties:
- Provide technical support as well as guide/train users
- Provide phone and email support while using a ticketing system
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, smart phones and applications
- Track issues until resolved
- Document, maintain, analyze and troubleshoot desktop, server, and network application issues
- Maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations
- Perform installations, repair and preventative maintenance of physical servers and VM server environment
- Exchange server administration and maintenance
- Maintain Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 servers including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Servers
- Troubleshoot network performance issues
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN systems
- Assist with special projects when needed
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Hands-on experience with Server and Desktop configuration and deployment
- Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2012) / Active Directory
- Windows XP to Windows 10
- Client / Server Networking
- All MS Office products
- Escalate problems as needed
Preferred:
- WAN/LAN
- Exchange Server 2003 to 2013, Microsoft Office 365 Exchange
- Sonicwall and/or Cisco configuration is a plus
- Vmware / MS Hypervisor
- Knowledge of SMB products and services
- Administrating IIS web servers and MS SQL database servers
- Experience with Labtech RMM application
Qualifications:
- 2 years minimum system administrator experience
- Microsoft Certifications (preferred)
- Highly self-motivated individual
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing and delivering results on time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think strategically with technical vision
- Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality
- Exceptional customer service skills, and a positive "can-do" attitude
- Must be accessible by phone or email outside normal business hours
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of tasks and projects
