I own and operate a smallish Handyman / Contracting business in Maryland. Centrally located in Annapolis. I have clients from Northern VA to Frederick to Baltimore County and into Delmarva. I primarily focus on service and repair work at Commercial Retail locations. Most jobs are 1-4 hours but some projects come up that could last a couple weeks - months.
Direct relationships and preferred vendor status with nationwide management companies that feed me the work orders. No advertising or marketing expenses for the past 10+ years. I subcontract help as needed for larger jobs. Painting crews, Licensed Trades, or just a couple more hands to help out for the day.
I have plans to move out of the state to the west coast in about a year and was thinking about either keeping the business running with the right self motivated employee or selling the business after a transition period with the buyer.
Light Electrical, Carpentery and Plumbing skills and a good troubleshooting mind necessary.
