Peraton is seeking a Staff UI Developer to join our team. The position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD. Day to Day Work Responsibilities may include:

• Design and develop efficient Graphical User Interfaces and applications using Java and Python
• Develop database queries using Elasticsearch and SQL
• Create dashboards and visualizations to provide current operating stat us and alerts on sub-optimal performance
• Develop GUI interfaces with 3rd party products, modify configurations and enhance system functionality and operability
• Requirements gathering, assessing, vetting, and migration into design, architecture, features
• Software development, testing, installation, configuration, and upgrading
• Active participant in design sessions
• Programming to include code creation, bug fixes, and enhancements, as well as installation, monitoring, and configuration programs and scripts
• Documentation of all designs/software developed, documentation of on-going development efforts using Atlassian tools (JIRA/Confluence)

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and fourteen years of relevant experience or a high school diploma and eighteen years of relevant experience
• Must have extensive experience designing and developing efficient Graphical User Interfaces and applications using Java and Python
• Must have experience developing GUI interfaces with 3rd party products, modify configurations and enhance system functionality and operability
• Active TS/SCI with poly clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with software design patterns
• Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience using various virtualization techniques and environments ESX, VMWare, Docker
• Experience with at least 4 of the following:
• Performance / load / stress testing
• System optimization techniques
• Data interface testing
• Data migration testing
• User interface testing
• Regression testing
• Formal requirements verification testing
• Systems integration testing
• Data flow testing and analysis
• Web server, OS, and SQL database setup and administration
• Webservices (SOAP, REST) testing
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to work as a part of a collaborative team.
