I represent an architectural firm in Harford County, Maryland. We have an opening for a BUILDING DESIGNER – INTERN ARCHITECT to join our team. Under the supervision of the project architect, you will design building projects.
This work experience should fully apply for NCARB architect license intern experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
knowledge of construction (concrete, steel framing, wood framing, trim, siding, masonry, tile, roofing, cabinets, countertops, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, earthwork, landscaping, paving). Extensive knowledge of construction is not required, but is a big plus.
ability to process simple math using feet, inches, and fractions. Extensive math knowledge and ability is not a requirement, but a big plus.
ability to use autocad software. Extensive autocad knowledge and ability is not a requirement, but a big plus.
ability to learn to use com-check, res-check, visual lighting, MS word, MS excel, wrightsoft hvac, and other design software.
good social, oral, and writing skills to communicate with the public and other project team members.
clean criminal record with no felony convictions for robbery, burglary, or fraud.
