Job Description: The Government Health and Safety Solutions group has an opening for a Solution Architect Manager to support a large healthcare contract in Baltimore. Position Summary: This position will directly support the active growth plans of our Government Health and Safety Solutions organization with a focus on civil health needs within the CMS program. The selected candidate will work under the program's CTO organization and work with engineering and operations personnel to understand customer needs through pre-sales engineering and account management activities and lead the development of compelling solutions to those needs. They will bring these solutions forward through white papers, presentations, and proposal responses. The SA manager will also work to develop and mature our partner ecosystem and contribute to division strategies. This position requires leading and engaging teams of people with diverse skills to develop comprehensive solutions ranging from IT applications to full enterprise services and from program management activities to agency-wide operational support. The successful candidate will be able to conceptualize these solutions around key business needs and goals in full awareness of industry trends. This position requires a broad and deep understanding of technology, and our customers to match solutions to customer requirements and to differentiate Leidos from our competitors. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead, coordinate and deliver on all tasks related to a large federal IT program.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of all technical tasks and solutions on the program and will do so in coordination with the Program Manager, technical project managers and Chief Technology Officer.
  • Manage and provide technical guidance as applicable across the program and be open to provide hands-on support as needed.
  • Identify and establish a program objectives with close coordination with the agency stakeholders and other technical leadership
  • Identify, track and manage project risks, communications, plans, and resources while providing weekly and monthly status updates to both the customer and corporate.
  • Work closely with the technical project managers on a day-to-day basis to understand and guide technology solution architecture, design and implementation.
  • Work closely with the various support teams to ensure optimal system configuration, performance and reliability to meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate project activities with agency stakeholders and other designated systems integrators, as required, to plan and execute on defined program objectives.
  • Work closely with project teams to help identify issues and risks while providing potential solutions and mitigation plans.
  • Provide management of project resources including tracking and resolving resource issues and concerns.
  • Provide customer management support to include tracking and addressing customer requests related to program objectives.

Minimum Requirements:
  • BS Degree and a minimum of 15 years of related experience in progressively responsible positions. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
  • Exercises independent judgement in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Experience leading the development of solutions for proposals
  • Experience in writing for white papers, RFI responses, and proposals
  • Experience in running trade studies, product evaluations, or research projects
  • Experience in customer engagements
  • Development and/or Operational program experience
IT Infrastructure O&M experience (Servers, Application O&M, Network, DevOps, Cloud, Data Center Operations) Architect Exp - 5+ years Preferred experience in CMS All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
