Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland. The individual will be taking on a critical role within our team, coordinating and managing various departmental tasks within the industry. Our workplace encourages the use of different skills like Purchase Orders, and Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Acting as the customer care liaison with vendors Coordinating and processing requisitions and purchase orders Managing and distributing mail for the department Assisting in maintaining electronic filing systems and supporting the CFO Processing requisitions to be paid Coordinating departmental events Preparing ad hoc reports Picking up vendor’s checks and payroll checks for the company as needed Ordering office supplies Performing other duties as assigned by the CFO Requirements Accounting Assistant position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in using accounting software is essential. Experience in managing purchase orders is mandatory. Capability to order office supplies effectively is required. Handling daily mail operations is a key part of the role. Proficiency in maintaining electronic files and filing systems is necessary. Ability to generate ad hoc reports as and when required is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected.
