Hopkins Community Connection (HCC), housed in the Division of General Pediatrics in the JHU School of Medicine, seeks an early career professional to serve as Administrative Coordinator . This individual will coordinate the recruitment, selection, training, and management of our talented group of Johns Hopkins University undergraduate volunteers, known as Advocates, who work in a variety of clinical settings across the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore and Bayview Medical Center campuses and in the community. In doing so, the Administrative Coordinator will ensure that HCC has the high-quality volunteer staff it needs to connect patients and families to the community resources they need to be healthy and help the Advocates develop the skills, knowledge, conviction, and experience to become leaders in the healthcare system of the future.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Advocate Training, Onboarding & Events

Provide logistical support for Advocate training at the start of each semester and summer session.

Provide logistical support for weekly Advocate training sessions.

Manage the Advocate hospital enrollment and clearance processes and build relationships with hospital administrators to ensure a smooth process.

Provide supervision support to small groups of advocates to support HCC expansion efforts.

Support Program Operations to Ensure High Quality Service Delivery

Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise related to HCC software, email listservs and other technology.

Manage various administrative processes for the HCC team including ordering office supplies, overseeing storage space, and resource deliveries and pick-ups (diapers, food for pantries, etc.) and other vendor accounts.

Provide other administrative and programmatic support to Executive Director, to include scheduling and coordinating meetings, meeting minutes, as necessary.

Provide direct support to the HCC desk operations as needed.

Participate in project-based work to support other aspects of organizational growth and development.

Coordinate Administrative requirements for HCC supported research and IRB studies.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to serve an undergraduate population.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

Three years related experience.

Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with non-profit sector and university setting a plus.
