About This Position

We are seeking a Corporate Actions Specialist to join the Baltimore Asset Services team. In this role, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing and payment of corporate action events, including Dividends, Mandatory Events, Voluntary Elections, Proxy Votes, and Class Actions for US, Canadian, and Latin American markets. This role is ideal for candidates who are analytical, inquisitive, and eager to learn in a complex environment. You will receive training and gain valuable experience with opportunities to transition into permanent roles. This is not a data entry or administrative role, but rather one that requires problem-solving and sound judgment.

Job Responsibilities

Validate and understand a wide range of corporate actions, from simple to complex, ensuring accurate processing.

Perform front-to-back processing of corporate action events, including setup, validation, election, payment, and reconciliation.

Collaborate with various departments and business units, including the Trading Desk, Prime Brokerage, and Financial Controllers.

Handle a high volume of diverse inquiries from internal teams, external stakeholders, and business units.

Interface with external corporate action data providers and third-party service providers.

Analyze day-to-day processes, technology platforms, and workflows, identifying opportunities for enhancement and improvement.

Participate in system testing and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of coverage and service delivery.

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Analytical and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to ask relevant questions and solve complex problems.

Sound judgment and the ability to interpret data accurately.

Willingness to learn independently and proactively seek information to understand complex processes.

Not a processing role – ideal for candidates with a desire to grow in a more analytical capacity.

Experience in internships, team projects, volunteering, or relevant coursework will be considered for those without professional experience.
