Description We are offering an ongoing temporary opportunity for a Case Manager in BALTIMORE, Maryland. In this role, you will be engaged in a variety of tasks, revolving around client management and data handling.Responsibilities: Accepting and processing intake referrals and appointments from the Program and Grants Support Specialist. Completing and managing necessary intake paperwork, collecting clients' identification documents, and providing them with an initial program orientation. Giving clients an overview of the emergency shelter program expectations and providing them with a copy of the client handbook. Providing an overview of case management services, including a review of the Housing Stabilization Plan. Developing individual case management plans, including financial planning and housing goals with each client. Inputting client data in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and other data management systems accurately and timely. Conducting needs assessment, making appropriate community referrals, and providing support to connect to ancillary services. Assisting clients with employment, transportation, childcare, and counseling-related needs or concerns by connecting them to appropriate community resources and referrals. Ensuring client compliance of program policies and expectations and providing warnings in verbal and written form, as necessary. Helping with conducting a yearly follow-up with former clients to gain feedback and housing status. Assisting in communication and coordination of volunteer groups on site as assigned. Keeping detailed case files including client information, program expectations, and client progress notes and documentation. Maintain an understanding of Fair Housing Laws and keep current on legal issues and regulations.Requirements Qualification Guidelines:Knowledge of:· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook· Continuum of Care and Coordinated Entry System is preferred· Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred· HMIS (Homeless Management Information System)· Dependability, responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully· HUD definition of homelessness, Chronic homelessness, Prevention and Diversion· Excellent customer service/public relations skills, including ability to work collaboratively with others.· Housing Program Models and best practices· Various counseling methods and conflict resolution techniques founded in strengths-based approach· Trauma-Informed Methods· Harm Reduction Strategies· Housing-First/Housing Focused· Motivational Interviewing· Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to:· Manage multiple projects and deadlines· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Board members, volunteers, clients and partners· Respond to a crisis with the ability to deescalate situation· Ability to work and problem solve independently· Solve problems by making decisions that promote team unity and client stability and edification· Plan, organize and prioritize duties· Maintain confidentiality regarding client information· Work with people from diverse economic and socio-cultural backgrounds· Represent the program and agency in a positive manner within the community· Communicate effectively over the telephone and clearly communicate information and instructions verbally and in written formRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
