Construction Manager

Job DescriptionProvides the site construction teams the means, methods, and staffing to support construction of substations, transmission lines, and other energy projects.  Maintains safety program associated with Construction activities.  Develops Craft Training and Certification program for lineman and groundman trades for Open-shop craft employees.  Develops and maintains Construction procedures and quality programs associated with the Construction of substation work and transmission lines.  Supports project proposals including development of staffing, equipment, and other direct and indirect quantities and costs to support estimate development.  Leads and participates in design constructability reviews. Supports subcontract developments for projects as needed.  Actively involves in project risk reviews including identifying and developing mitigation plans associated with Construction.  Assists site team in resolving problems and reports on issues related to drawings and information, schedule, quality, quantity tracking, cost reporting, and safety.  Monitors construction productivity, progress, and cost, and reports to Operations Manager and Project Controls Manager.  Takes necessary actions to maintain targets.  Develops corrective plan to ensure progress and productivity targets are met.  Verifies that all equipment, material, manpower and resources needed to support Project Schedule are available and on site.  Reviews installed quantity reports and progress payment requests.  Develops a stable working relationship with Client and assigned subcontractor(s).Develops and distributes a Job Hazard Analysis for major erection packages within scope.
