AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector to oversee the electrical and instrumentation aspects of a water/wastewater treatment plant upgrade. This role ensures all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned per project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The E&I Inspector will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the project’s timely and safe completion.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations for compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
Verify proper installation, functionality, and operational status of electrical and instrumentation equipment, including wiring, panels, sensors, controllers, and monitoring devices.
Conduct inspections during testing phases, including electrical systems (e.g., circuits, transformers, switchgear) and instrumentation (e.g., flow meters, pressure sensors, control valves).
Support system commissioning, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance.
Calibrate and validate instruments, including sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
Maintain and submit detailed inspection and testing records, including non-compliance and follow-up reports.
Promote on-site safety by enforcing safety protocols, conducting hazard assessments, and complying with OSHA standards.
Resolve installation and performance issues with project engineers and contractors.
Verify that all materials and equipment meet quality and performance standards upon delivery and installation.
