Description Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the dynamic, fast-growing team at one of our clients in the Non-Profit industry! In this role, your primary responsibilities will consist of providing support to the Payroll department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively correspond with both the internal team and outside customers. Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Build and run custom reports
Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Build a system of administering and distributing reports
Requirements
Practical knowledge of Processing Garnishments
Demonstrated knowledge of Garnishments
Adeptness in reconciliations
Workers compensation experience
Payroll Tax experience
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Knowledgeable in Payroll software
4+ years of previous payroll experience
Ability to easily learn new systems
Strong communication and social skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
