Research Assistant

The Center for Global Digital Health Innovation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the Department of International Health is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to support a project looking to understand the digital health and primary healthcare landscape in Brazil. This is part of the Digital Health Exemplars project, which is part of the Exemplars in Global Health Initiative. The Research Assistant will focus on and review existing literature to better understand the drivers of digital health transformation in Brazil, support the development of research questions and study data collection tools, and conduct secondary data analysis.The Research Assistant will conduct a scoping review and evidence-gap mapping activity to understand the digital health landscape in Brazil, explore the size or scope of digital health initiatives/programs within the country, support development of in-depth interview guides for key digital health leaders and stakeholder in country, support qualitative data collection and analyses, and lead quantitative data analysis of secondary data. They will regularly engage with their supervisor and local country partners to discuss and validate findings. They will develop final project outputs including final reports of digital health interventions, scientific presentations of research results/findings, as well as manuscriptsMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Public Health or another related field or equivalent degree.

Minimum of 1-year of related experience in working in public health research.

Quantitative statistical experience and experience using statistical analysis software packages.

Experience conducting literature reviews (systematic/scoping).

Prior experience working in digital health, global health, and primary healthcare.

Proficiency and experience in R, Stata, SAS, and/or another equivalent software package.

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
