CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support advanced research projects that will provide healthcare solutions for all.This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite/week in Fairfax, VA or Baltimore, MDYour future duties and responsibilities: Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure to support the development and deployment of the project Collaborate with the DevOps Engineer to optimize cloud resources and verify scalability. Protect the security and compliance of cloud-based solutions. Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with the Senior Solution Architect on alignment with project goals and technical requirements. Provide expertise in optimizing cloud resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; any cloud certification is preferred 8+ years of recent, practical experience delivering automated, secure cloud infrastructure solutions at enterprise scale Experience in cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards. Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is preferred Requires strong organizational and communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot issues and optimize data workflows. Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).Nice to Have: High-level cloud architecture experience in government or large-scale healthcare IT projects. Involvement in healthcare cloud strategy and policy development.CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
