Responsible for the development, execution and ownership of strategic communications campaigns and activities that effectively inform, educate, motivate, activate and engage all levels across the Commercial bank. Serving as strategic communications advisor to senior leaders and directly supporting executive messaging and storytelling. Active leadership of communication spaces on CommunityONE and Insider portals as ports to listen, understand and engage employees. Strategic Leader of content development team producing material that can be deployed across channels for use with multiple audiences internally and externally.Primary Responsibilities:
Identify key strategic corporate objectives and develop, implement, manage and evaluate bank-wide and targeted communications plans to actively engage employees in the achievement of those strategic corporate objectives.
Own campaign management for the Commercial bank and activate cross-functional teams to support delivery of key outcomes. Act as communications lead on critical enterprise-wide initiatives
Leverage owned content across channels to reach multiple stakeholder groups internally and externally.
Develop executive communication brands for senior leaders across the Commercial bank. Create and maintain unique multimedia streams to drive messaging.
Liaise with leadership across the Commercial bank to understand business problems and convene conversations to create solutions.
Source and tell stories highlighting the bank's progress against important strategic initiatives. Develop change management programs to bridge identified knowledge gaps to drive alignment and engagement around key business outcomes.
Convene conversations with business leaders to understand opportunities / successes. Design communications plans to identify and tell stories to highlight success stories and drive business outcomes. Direct communications efforts to bridge opportunities and drive alignment.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams as needed. Liaise with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners on communications and change management initiatives to drive business outcomes.
While creating dynamic, multi-channel communications plans around key corporate strategic objectives, simultaneously reduce the effort and resources devoted to less strategic, less critical communications requirements. Identify different employee segments and develop, implement, manage and evaluate various communications methods and channels to effectively reach those different segments. Develop owned video capabilities so as to reduce expense / bank's reliance on external parties.
Develop, implement, manage and evaluate a dynamic suite of CommunityONE channels / Insider sites and drive employee usage of these tools as the primary source of corporate information; create opportunities to listen, interact with and understand clients leveraging anecdotal and empirical information.
Develop video first multimedia content campaigns that can be leveraged, where appropriate, across channels with multiple audiences.
Build relationships with management and employee contacts and advocate for improved communication practices
Complete other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and minimum of 10 years’ communication related experience or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 14 years’ higher education and/or work experience
Minimum 5 years experience working in a financial institution
Minimum 3 years experience people leadership experience
Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making ability, proven change management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work and utilize agile methodologies in the work environment
Superior project management skills, excelled relevant technical and PC skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn buy-in at all levels of management
Strong computer skills
