Resp & QualificationsPURPOSE:The Sr. Data Analyst will be responsible for driving strategy and delivery of two key analytic tools that will be built using provider and claims data. The Analyst will sit on the Value and Sales Enablement team under the Market-Facing Analytics workstream within Health Services which is accountable for reporting on all network, provider, and contractual performance. This senior level individual contributor will bring coding and dashboard development expertise to support business decisions and sales enablement. The purpose of a Sr. Data Analyst is to find meaning in data as a thought leader so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organizational performance. This individual will act as a liaison and interface between analytics, business units and other departments.Note: We are looking for an experienced professional in the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area who is willing and able to work in a hybrid model. The incumbent will be expected to work a portion of their week from home and a portion of their week at a CareFirst location based on business needs and work activities/deliverables that week.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Set objectives for dashboard development and maintenance in collaboration with key stakeholders from Health Services functional areas and Market/P&L leads. Serve as expert on provider network and health services program performance. Engages in data exploration using SQL language (reading and writing code) and leads development of dashboards in PowerBI.

Collect, analyze, and interpret data to glean insights, and develop business appropriate recommendations. Serve as consultant and expert in data insights and infrastructure with Health Services and Sales leadership.

Research and analyze data flow across complex data ecosystem including operational and analytical data platforms. Put together data maps as necessary to enable efficient and effective dashboard development.

Serve as an expert resource supporting data questions and issues from stakeholders and driving to resolution. Take regular feedback on dashboards to incorporate into maintenance plan while implementing best practices for projects.

Lead in the design, development, validation and delivery of data to provide insight into business decisions. Collaborate with the rest of the Market-Facing Analytics team to draw connections across programs and projects. Assist in production of value statements as needed to bring clinical solutions to market in support of sales growth.

Manage the collection of business and technical requirements from Stakeholders (Health Services functional leaders, Sales, and Regulatory teams) to deliver data driven solutions. Produces technical documentation that is consistent with professional standards.

Be a resource and mentor to junior level staff

QUALIFICATIONS:Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business or related field OR in lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.Experience: 5 years' experience in an analytical/quantitative role.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Healthcare Industry

Hands on experience with Big Data/SQL Platforms with experience delivering production projects at scale

Experience in the market or with Sales teams

Dashboard development and maintenance experience, in PowerBI preferred

Eagerness to develop others and collaborate as a high-level individual contributor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

Quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, languages, applications, platforms.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to learn quickly and take direction., Advanced

Additional Skills and Abilities:

Proven track record of turning data into meaningful analysis, presenting to business stakeholders, and driving value for the business. Ability to see the big picture and to focus on details when necessary. Advanced knowledge and experience in topics of data and information management.

Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging. Salary Range : $78,840 - $156,585
