Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our client's team, based in BALTIMORE, Maryland. In this role, you will be expected to adapt quickly to new client accounting environments, use your strong accounting acumen to draw reasonable conclusions from limited data, and enjoy the challenge of solving accounting problems. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Quickly adapt to new client accounting environments and use your strong accounting acumen to maintain accuracy in all accounting processes Handle the challenge of solving complex accounting problems and figuring out solutions efficiently Oversee basic footnote presentation in areas applicable to all industries, follow-up with those on the team responsible, and spot variances Execute transactional duties as required, including adjusting and fixing accounts as necessary Assist in the close Progress, ensure all financial statements are accurate and ready for reviewRequirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Ability to identify variances, analyze financial data and provide insights Experience with month-end and year-end closings Proficiency with financial management software Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlinesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
