The Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) invite applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in the area of Epigenomics. Outstanding candidates at all academic ranks will be considered. They will also be encouraged to collaborate with existing university-wide initiatives.EpigenomicsWe seek candidates whose research focuses on the development and application of cutting-edge epigenomic technologies, including but not limited to DNA methylation profiling, histone modification mapping, chromatin accessibility assays, nuclear organization, and single-cell epigenomic techniques. We welcome candidates employing either experimental, computational, or integrated approaches, particularly those whose work advances our understanding of gene regulation, cellular differentiation, and disease mechanisms by integrating genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data.The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, internationally recognized research program that leverages epigenomic insights to address fundamental questions in biology, with applications to human health, disease diagnosis, and personalized medicine. This cluster hire initiative is part of the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Epigenomics cluster. Thus, we are endeavoring to hire multiple faculty members into interdisciplinary cohorts (clusters) for Fall 2025 anticipated start dates.The expected salary range for these positions is: Assistant Professors $150k-$200k, Associate Professors $180k-$245k, Full Professors $220k-$500k, for 12-month FTE. The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate - e.g., years in rank, training, field, discipline, other work experience, and other similar factors; geographic location; internal equity; external market conditions; and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.Diversity, equity and inclusion are integral values of the University.
