Vulnerability/Patch Management and Compliance Engineering Manager , you will have the opportunity to manage team members, leading the day-to-day activity of the enterprise vulnerability/patch remediation team, maintaining departmental documentation, prioritization, tracking remediation tasks and developing/maintaining key performance metrics.This job allows you to familiarize with the infrastructure/security platforms and provide a platform to contribute towards the improvement of system stability, resiliency and performance. This role promotes growth in nurturing automation competencies, infrastructure supervision, and security methodologies.Key Responsibilities
Identify threats and weaknesses in OneMain endpoints and applications.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and support staff
Research vulnerabilities and determine impact on the computing environment andmaintain a risk-based approach in prioritizing vulnerability remediation efforts.
Utilize vulnerability scanning tools to validate remediation efforts and Identify vulnerabilities.
Troubleshoot and correct endpoints with failed security patches and updates.
Perform update/patch validation prior to them being distributed to production.
Determine the root cause of problems through analysis and problem-solving activities.
Participate in technology lifecycle management activities.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS support, MacOS and RHEL
Collaborate/partner with Cyber/Risk, and other technology teams.
Develop and maintainpolicies, procedures, performance reporting metrics and documentation
Identify ways to improve, simplify and automate activities and processes.
Familiarity with technology support and patch deployment tools i.e.MECM, Software Center, vSphere, Jenkins, Goverlan, ServiceNow, Jira, Jamf, etc.
Communicate remediation status to management on an ongoing basis.
Perform end-user and system support as required to resolve specific problems identified.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree(Computer Science or related filed) and 8-10 years’ experience in IT
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
5+ Years experience with IT vulnerability remediation, patch management and security
2+ Years of team management/leadership experience
Experience with all elements of change management
Proven capacity to work independently and manage multiple, completing demands.
Ability to travel domestically
Excellent leadership skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management and with vendors.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work in a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative OneMain culture
