foraged. a hyper-seasonal eatery in the heart of Baltimore, is looking for a passionate and skilled Plant Caretaker to help maintain and expand our living plant ecosystem. We proudly grow our plants hydroponically using coco coir, and the successful candidate will be responsible for taking care of the existing plants while also growing new seasonal plants to enhance our space and offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for and maintain the health of our current hydroponic plants.
- Monitor plant growth, soil moisture, and nutrient levels.
- Grow new plants with the changing seasons, selecting varieties that align with our ethos of sustainability and seasonality.
- Ensure the plants are thriving in their environment and contribute to the overall ambiance of our restaurant.
- Proactively identify and address any plant health issues, including pests, disease, or environmental concerns.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in plant care, hydroponics, or horticulture is a plus.
- Familiarity with growing plants in coco coir.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for plants and sustainable growth practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a flexible schedule.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a unique and eco-friendly dining atmosphere.
