Busy sports bar located in Columbia MD looking for part time management.
This position requires evening shifts with the possibility of weekends and holidays. We are looking for a responsible and reliable manager to join our team experience is a must with the volume of business. Experience in the industry of bartending and serving is a huge plus! Someone who is willing to jump in to help when needed and has strong communication and leadership skills. A successful manager understands they are not simply managing their staff, they are leading them. They establish leadership by setting examples through their own behavior and decision making. From bussing tables to bartending, a manager should happily roll up their sleeves and get on the front lines with energy and enthusiasm. This shows that everyones job in the building is important and makes the manager much more accessible to staff and guest.
Your main responsibilities in this position will be but not limited to-
Oversee the bar's day-to-day operations as well as the floor with the servers
Ensure the bar is clean and well stocked at the beginning and end of shift
Balance the register at the start and end of each shift along with server/bartender checkouts
Interview, hire, train, promote, and when necessary discipline staff
Manage staff performance
Ensure courteous service from all bar and serving staff
Address staff concerns and manage stressful situations
Maintain inventory and control waste
Ensure proper alcohol pouring, mixing, and garnishing
Handle customer complaints and or concerns
Maintain a fun and safe atmosphere for staff and guest
Track customer behavior and sales
Advertise promotions and keep up with social media presence
Build relationships with clientele
