Thames Street Oyster House is searching for a full time manager to join our team. If you have an outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, dedication to and understanding of remarkable customer service, hospitality, food and drink, and a full FOH background, we are looking for you to be a part of an amazing team. Management experience is not necessarily required to apply for this position, as someone who is interested in learning this next step in his or her hospitality career may be the best candidate, who'd like to grow and learn with us. We have created a very special restaurant culture full of skilled, hard working professionals, and are searching for a full time manager to join us. We exercise extreme safety precautions and do NOT offer indoor dining at this time.

We are 100% dedicated to our work, and the service industry is a part of who we are. We are perfectionists with everything we do. Management's job on the floor each day is to ensure that the highest quality products and services are delivered to every guest, while leading and motivating the staff, and maintaining the functionality of the restaurant and business. Management is extremely hands on during service, running the flow and controlling seating at every moment, overseeing the raw bar, and maintaining quality of service through whatever means necessary. Without a genuine interest in these roles, and in making people happy through a welcoming sense of hospitality, you will not succeed here. This position's other responsibilities may include ordering, reservations management, social media, daily administrative duties, and opening and closing the restaurant.

We are looking for someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about restaurants, who is poised and well spoken, possesses good writing and communication skills, food and wine knowledge or a willingness to learn, and who naturally pays extreme attention to detail. Again, we have a VERY hands-on management style, and a willingness to help in any area, whether that be at the hostess stand, supporting a server, expediting in the kitchen, grabbing a bus pan of dirty dishes, wiping down a table, mastering the reservation book, and the list goes on. The utmost honesty is required, which must be reflected in your references, without exception.

The ability to communicate effectively and motivate in order to better the performance of the staff and the restaurant as a whole is also necessary. Applicant must have great skills dealing with high pressure situations and the intensity of a restaurant that is busy every shift from open to close. We require the utmost patience and composure in all situations, good leadership skills, and a positive motivational outlook at all times. We are a small restaurant and independent team of people. Owner is present and working daily. This is not a corporate job with numbers goals, but offers a great opportunity for someone to take pride in the workplace he or she will help to run. The restaurant is closed ALL major holidays, and has an excellent health benefits package including dental and vision, competitive compensation, and we offer a 45 hour work week. 5+ years of current fine dining and/or high volume full service restaurant experience is required.
