The Bluebird is an upscale restaurant and cocktail bar located in Hampden. We prioritize working with local farmers and producers to ensure fresh, seasonal ingredients in our kitchen, with an emphasis on high quality. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations and maintain consistency, efficiency, and quality in our back-of-house operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating.
Monthly inventory and maintaining cost of goods
Ordering
Continue current kitchen policies including cleanliness, food safety, and health code compliance
Maintain positive working relationships in the kitchen
Ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Weekly staff scheduling
Execute private events
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of experience in a kitchen role, with some management experience
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
