This is a week-end only position. Hours are 7AM to 3PM and 3PM to 7PM. A retired senior with experience who wishes to work is welcome. Home healthcare experience is required. CNA will be considered but is NOT required. The day shift requires the applicant should have experience with assisting residents with basic ADLsto bathe, shave, and dress; to transfer to and from wheelchair to bed, chair, shower; take vital signs and administer medications and allowed treatments; be familiar with emergency care during falls, injuries and other illnesses, do laundry and perform other housekeeping duties (including making beds, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting). Applicant will prepare and serve a light mid-day meal and assist residents to eat if necessary. These and other duties may be required.
The week-end evening shift position requires excellent cooking skills. Applicant will prepare and serve the evening meal. Residents may require special diets such as low sodium, low carb, no concentrated sweets, soft, pureed, etc; duties may also include feeding as needed and keeping all dietary areas and equipment clean and sanitized. The candidate will be responsible for medication administration. This position requires assistance with ADLs as necessary and assisting residents to bed.
CPR/First Aid, a physical and a CJIS background check are required.
