Our busy dental office is looking for a dental assistant to help the doctor chairside and help with tasks at the front desk. We are looking for someone dependable and diligent. Someone who is personable and is a team player.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams and dental procedures.
- Take a digital dental x-rays quickly and accurately (PAs, BWs, FMX, Panorex)
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and help manage the dental office schedule
- Maintain accurate patient records using SoftDent
- Follow infection control protocols
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Dental Radiology License for the State of Maryland (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program (Preferred)
- Current certification in dental assisting (Preferred)
- Proficiency in using SoftDent and Carestream
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques
- Awareness and compliant with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
This can be a full-time or part-time position. We are looking for a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team.
